Why invest in a duplex?
Investing in a duplex means increasing the income and value out of your property.
By placing two homes on the one lot (you can either share a title or subdivide and have two). Investing in a duplex means that two people will be paying for the land and if you live in one as an owner/occupier and rent out the other one, you’ll can pay off your mortgage quicker. This way the land value is still there, but two people are paying for it, not one. Remember you don’t need to share a driveway with a duplex, or have multiple neighbours, as you would in an apartment.
